US fighter plane shot down Co A 1st sq looking for the pilot no sign of him so we guessed he was captured. Taken in France after we broke out of the Normandy beach head and headed across France with the 4th Armored Division with the 3rd Army under Patton. Went like hell, not stopping for anything..Trying to cut off German divisions which we did but the English under Montgomery did not do the job and alot of the Germans got away to fight us again.
